Rated A Top 9 Wedding Videographer in Toronto!!

Thank you Peerspace

Last week was the end of January, and I realized I hadn't written any real solid goals for the year. I have my general lifestyle goals, but then I started to get a little more specific with what I would love to achieve this year.

I wrote down how I wanted to be a little more recognized for the hard work that goes on behind a wedding day production. Sure, to get my filmmaking in front of more people, but also to help recognize the hard work that my couples/wedding planners/designers/florists/caterers/venues put into a wedding day. It is never just about me, but I would love to get the work of my peers in front of as many keen eyes as I can.

I wrote this at about 11am on Friday.

Then at about 6pm the same day, I received an email.

The subject line was

"We featured you as one of the Best Wedding Videographers in Toronto!"

and I thought it was one of those spam emails from a random blogger that was looking to gain a boost in SEO or something.

I opened the email.

After a concise one-line introduction, the email was significantly shorter than all the other spam emails I receive. Where spam would be a full page of sleazy sales copy, this email was only 1 paragraph. This was the bulk of the email:

I help with content at Peerspace! You may or may not be aware of us (we're like the Airbnb for production spaces, connecting creatives with unique, production-ready venues), but we're big fans of yours and wanted to let you know that we featured you in our 9 Best Wedding Videographers in Toronto article!

Just wanted to pop in and share the love. :)

It wasn't a spam email. I was seriously ranked as one of the top 9 wedding videographers in Toronto!

Holy, I am beyond grateful.

I replied back as soon as I could to show my thanks, and I still try to relive that moment a week later.

I cannot thank Peerspace enough for this wonderful news. It means the world to hear that the work that goes into these couples' wedding days is seen. These couples are heard. These couples are felt. Once again, thank you Peerspace for the love on your fantastic website (and a big shotuout to everyone else who was on that list!)

I hope to continue sharing these wedding celebrations with big audiences, and cannot wait to see what else is in store for Aaron Daniel Films in 2022 ;)

Until next time,

- Aaron
