Best Wedding Cameraman and Colorist 2021

Wow. In February I had the biggest surprise and privilege I could have dreamed of! Thank you to all the organizers of the 2021 Worldwide Event Videographers Awards, for taking on this big responsibility of organizing this international event. And thank you to all the jury and fellow participants for openly sharing the artistry you bring to the world. It is so inspiring to see what love means and what love looks like around the world.

I still have no words and am still so shook being awarded first place in two categories!! First place as best cameraman of 2021 and first place as best colourist of 2021, both in the international pool of filmmakers. I am beyond honoured to be able to share this achievement beside my idols in the industry and the people that I continue to look up to.

Thank you to the couples that made this possible and for trusting us to be part of your huge milestone in life. And thank you to the hardworking team I got to see and party with almost every weekend 😅

This means so much, both in terms of feeling appreciated for the work we do, but also for the people we are. The people who get to experience and be surrounded by love. It really reminds me of a powerful section in Brene Brown’s latest book I continue to reread, Atlas of the Heart. The idea of fitting in versus belonging.

Fitting In VS Belonging:

Belonging is being accepted for who you are, and fitting in is being accepted for being like everyone else. And as artists, I think we thrive in the environments that accept us for who we are, not for fitting in. This community of artists makes that happen.
