Golden Lens Award: 3rd Most Award Wedding Filmmaker of 2022
Hello my friendly friends,
A few weeks ago, the team over at Inspiration Photographers (currently one of the largest international associations in the wedding photography and filmmaking world) organized and hosted the annual Golden Lens Awards, an international wedding videographer and photographer awards. And to my delightful surprise, it is an incredible honour to represent Toronto and the whole of Canada as I received the award for 3rd most awarded wedding filmmaker of 2022 😍
The Golden Lens Awards is considered the ‘Oscars’ of the most cinematic and inspiring wedding & family photography and films. From their website, you'll find out that to many it is considered "the most important and prestigious award worldwide for those professionals". Competing amongst the best wedding videographers in other countries, it is incredibly encouraging to share the stage with the heroes that I look up to. Those in France, Greece, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, and the list goes on. Wow. Thank you for inviting and accepting me into this community.
It is so cool to hear that, in the past, they held black tie ceremonies to celebrate these awards in the beautiful country they are based out of, Brazil. The 2022 awards unfortunately didn't see an in-person event (I believe due to global conditions if you know what I mean haha). But maybe next year ;)
This award for 3rd most awarded wedding filmmaker of 2022 is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the untouchable team that I've worked with this year (Joel, Ryan, Francis, Prince, Damian and Dimitri) and we are beyond grateful to the Inspiration Photographers team for recognizing our efforts.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the couples who have trusted us to capture their special day. a ginormous thank you to the ever-growing love stories I get to learn about and see. It is a privilege to be able to document such an important and meaningful event, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do what we love. To all my couples this year, thank you and your families for your hospitality, warmth, trust, support and food ;)
Likewise, I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our colleagues in this international wedding film industry. Your support and encouragement have been invaluable to me, and I feel nothing but gratitude and love being a part of such a talented and creative community. What an honour to be in the presence of talented artists across the world 😭 Thank you to the @InspirationPhotographers_ team for your continued passion for this international community, and to my fellow filmmakers for continually pushing the boundaries of a ‘wedding film’.
Thank you again to the Golden Lens Awards for this incredible honour. This recognition is only pushing our industry's growth in the best ways, and I can already see we every one of us striving for excellence in our work, our art, and our taste for beauty with our couples.
Inspiration is always just an arm’s length away, but it is the shoulders of giants that will truly open our eyes. Both in art and in love.
